About the Role
Abby Care is building the leading AI-native platform for family-led care, addressing the growing care crisis by empowering family caregivers with tools, training, and recognition. We combine clinical oversight with an AI-powered platform to train, enable, and support family caregivers in delivering high-quality care at home. Our platform helps health plans and government partners better understand, care access, reduce reliance on higher-cost settings, and ensure public dollars are spent effectively. We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) to join our collaborative, cross-functional team and revolutionize tech-enabled healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Drive product and platform development, taking full ownership of the development lifecycle from concept to delivery.
- Define project scope based on requirements, perform mobile/full-stack development, conduct user testing, and manage launch cycles.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, clinical, compliance, product) to build real-world solutions.
- Articulate technical initiatives to further the company's mission.
- Deepen technical expertise in product development, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, or data security.
- Broaden technical horizons by building greenfield systems using the latest advancements in AI.
- Uphold healthcare industry standards and become an expert in the US healthcare sector.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of building, scaling, and maintaining complex applications.
- Expertise in React Native, with the ability to be the architectural force behind rebuilding the mobile experience.
- Product-minded approach to development, focusing on end-user experience.
- Strong engineering foundation, with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Experience leveraging AI tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with backend development, particularly Python, and/or modern web frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Android environment and native Android development is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership.
- Experience in the healthtech industry or a deep personal motivation to build high-stakes software that improves human health and home care.
