Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable data solutions, optimizing growth, strategy, and user experience. Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and own data architecture for large-scale projects, evaluating design and operational cost-benefit tradeoffs.
- Create and contribute to frameworks that improve logging data efficacy and triage issues with data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs and represent key data insights visually.
- Define and manage Service Level Agreements for owned data sets.
- Implement security models based on privacy requirements, confirm safeguards, address data quality issues, and evolve governance processes.
- Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations supporting multiple use cases.
- Solve challenging data integration problems using optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, and query techniques from structured and unstructured data sources.
- Own and optimize existing production processes and complex code through advanced algorithmic concepts.
- Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier data artifact development.
- Influence product and cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities for impact.
- Mentor team members by giving and receiving actionable feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience working with data (e.g., data analyst, data scientist, data engineer).
- 7+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
- 7+ years of experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, Scala).
