About the Role
Medtronic Digital Technologies is developing compact, high-performance, embedded systems for edge computing and connectivity, aiming to create a connected ecosystem and leverage computer vision for enhanced surgical procedures. As a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer, you will focus on algorithm optimization, designing, implementing, and optimizing Machine Learning models for low latency on edge and cloud devices, collaborating with a talented team to explore new concepts through rapid prototyping.
Responsibilities
- Benchmarking and optimizing existing network architectures for latency on target platforms.
- Re-designing or optimizing network architectures to improve forward flow and reduce latency.
- Developing production pipelines for real-time surgical video processing on cloud or edge devices.
- Delivering well-written and high-quality code.
- Sharing results during regular meetings.
- Staying updated with state-of-the-art methods and proposing novel approaches.
Requirements
- Proven ability to design and build computer vision networks using Pytorch.
- Knowledge of different optimization methods (e.g., pruning, sparsity, quantization).
- Experience with AI optimization tools (e.g., TensorRT).
- Very knowledgeable in Python and relevant numerical libraries (numpy, scikit-learn, opencv, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Computer Vision expertise.
