About the Role
The Granite Club is seeking a full-time Clubhouse Attendant to perform housekeeping duties within the Club according to a set schedule, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning throughout the Club.
- Conduct janitorial duties including cleaning surfaces, telephones, showers, toilets, sinks, and counters.
- Clean floors by mopping, vacuuming carpets, spray buffing, machine scrubbing, stripping, refinishing, and carpet cleaning.
- Collect and remove trash from designated areas and wash containers as needed.
- Restock unit dispensers with amenities such as towels, toilet paper, tissues, shampoo, and conditioner.
- Manage the Linen Room by laundering and folding towels, member laundry, and staff uniforms.
- Sort and record all outgoing and incoming laundry, and maintain the service counter.
- Set up and break down function rooms as required.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Policies.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Good command of the English language (reading, writing, and understanding).
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to withstand 6-8 hours a day of bending, walking, standing, stretching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift/move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to set priorities and organize workload for continuing productivity.
- Flexibility to work day, afternoon, and midnight shifts as assigned.
- Must perform a criminal background check and vulnerable sector search prior to employment.
