About the Role
Oversee the Detail Department at the dealership, ensuring all inventory and customer deliveries meet quality standards. Lead and hold the detailing team accountable for their work, perform quality control inspections, and address any comebacks or rework to ensure issues are corrected promptly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Detail Department.
- Work with the Reconditioning Team to prepare used inventory for the lot.
- Ensure incoming new inventory is properly cleaned, detailed, and ready to show.
- Ensure all RVs are thoroughly detailed and meet company quality standards before customer delivery.
- Perform quality control inspections on all customer deliveries.
- Hold the detailing team accountable for the quality of their work.
- Track and manage comebacks related to detailing quality.
- Work with Sales Management and the Lot Team to maintain the appearance and condition of all inventory.
- Establish, communicate, and consistently enforce detailing standards for all units.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance, productivity, and quality.
- Manage the daily workflow and production of the Detail Department.
- Monitor and maintain the proper inventory and condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with Sales Management, Service Management, and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Skills
- Previous detailing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Experience Level
- Previous RV, automotive detailing, or dealership experience preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
Education Level
- High school diploma or GED.
