About the Role
Clerk is solving the user identity layer with best-in-class developer infrastructure for AI software. We provide full-stack React components and hooks for user identity, organization management, and billing flows.
Responsibilities
- Build Clerk's ML infrastructure, including pipelines, training, and model serving.
- Turn internal data into customer-facing products, starting with scoring and telemetry.
- Ship models and signals in product and platform code, driving cross-team collaboration.
- Contribute to Clerk's success through various tasks, including dashboard building and customer calls.
Requirements
- Experience building and running machine learning systems from scratch in production.
- Comfort with both building and analyzing data.
- Ability to own large, ambiguous problems as an individual contributor.
- Proficiency in the data stack and ability to contribute to engineering repositories.
- Product sense to identify valuable problems.
- Iterative work process with a 'ship and iterate' mentality.
- Technical fluency in data, ML, and infrastructure work with high standards.
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn GCP/BQ, dbt, Dagster, ClickHouse, PostHog, and Hex.
