About the Role
You’ll join the Operations team at the heart of the business, working on the difficult real-world problems that sit between our members, our product, external suppliers and the systems that make Nous work. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants a steep learning curve, real responsibility and the chance to work as part of a team solving difficult problems.
Responsibilities
- Understand member questions and investigate issues.
- Identify patterns and root causes of operational problems.
- Redesign processes to improve efficiency.
- Build automations to reduce repetitive work.
- Utilize AI to eliminate repetitive tasks.
- Query data to understand operational performance.
- Improve internal tools and systems.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering on fundamental fixes.
Requirements
- Approximately 1-3 years of experience in a demanding environment (startup, operations, consulting, product, analytics, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and tackle unfamiliar problems.
- Technical curiosity and a proactive approach to experimenting with new tools.
- Evidence of building things (automations, side projects, tools, processes, etc.).
- Comfort with detailed problem analysis and tracing issues to their source.
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous and complex situations.
- Natural empathy and a focus on understanding customer needs.
- Clear and direct communication skills.
- Willingness to work directly with customers and frontline issues.
