About the Role
Meta FAIR is seeking Research Scientist Interns to advance AI alignment and ML systems, focusing on making AI more reliable, efficient, measurable, and aligned with human intent. Interns will work on an end-to-end research project with mentorship, contributing to areas like reasoning, evaluation, safety, and AI governance.
Responsibilities
- Develop novel state-of-the-art algorithms and corresponding systems using deep learning techniques.
- Analyze and improve algorithm and system efficiency, scalability, stability, fairness, security, and privacy.
- Conduct research to advance Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
- Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners, communicating research plans, progress, and results.
- Publish research findings and contribute to Meta product development.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or holding a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
- Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
- Experience with Python, C++, C, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- First-author publication record at a top-tier ML, NLP, or Systems venue (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, CVPR, ICCV, MLSys) or equivalent.
