About the Role
Meta AI is seeking Research Interns for its Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) Communication & Language teams. Interns will contribute to advancing AI through fundamental breakthroughs in technologies that help machines understand and interact with the world. Opportunities exist to make core algorithmic advances and apply ideas at scale, with a focus on Natural Language Processing, audio/speech processing, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
Responsibilities
- Perform research to learn the semantics of data, including text, audio, images, video, and other modalities.
- Brainstorm with research mentors, review literature, and analyze existing solutions for research problems.
- Develop novel solutions, implement prototypes, and conduct experiments to test proposed solutions.
- Analyze experimental results and verify conclusions.
- Draft and polish research reports and/or publications.
- Present research outcomes to internal and/or external audiences.
- Contribute research applicable to Meta product development.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or possess a PhD in Natural Language Processing, Speech Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent.
- Research and/or work experience in LLMs, Speech Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or equivalent.
- Experience with Python, C++, or other related programming languages.
- Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
