About the Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will design and assist on projects, carrying out detailed design and calculations, and preparing designs, specifications, reports, and drawings. You will oversee and direct CAD/Revit Technicians and Junior/Graduate Engineers, contributing to an organization that supports career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Design and supervise projects, establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans, and agree deliverables.
- Agree level of service and project design duties with Group Leader or Line Manager.
- Assist Group Leader with monitoring engineering/CAD/Revit resource requirements.
- Carry out engineering concept design to detailed designs, tender, and contract.
- Attend meetings and site visits for reviews, monitoring, and surveys.
- Liaise with the design team to produce co-ordinated designs.
- Provide positive contribution to design/project meetings.
- Maintain regular 'in house' design reviews and checks.
- Monitor and control project progress, design variations, and project financial budgets.
- Maintain excellent client and design team relationships.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering designing and managing projects within a design consultancy, engineering firm, or main contractor.
- Experience in Structural design for data centres is highly advantageous.
- Ongoing pursuit of Chartered status and/or business qualifications where applicable.
