About the Role
Viant is seeking an experienced Account Director for its sales team in the NY market to drive new business, generate awareness, and increase sales of the Viant DSP. This role is crucial for territory growth and development, focusing on new business acquisition rather than account management.
Responsibilities
- Curate a leading presence within the sales team to inspire action through vocal participation in team meetings.
- Identify new business opportunities with independent agencies and advertisers in the DC metro area.
- Consult with clients to understand marketing objectives and align Viant's solutions to achieve those goals.
- Generate a high volume of sales activities, including cold calls, meetings, presentations, and proposals, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue quotas.
- Drive new and existing revenue through long-term contracts and negotiation.
- Cultivate client relationships, gain deep business insights, and provide solutions for marketing and advertising goals.
- Expand Viant's footprint within the territory and key accounts by cross-selling and up-selling the product portfolio.
- Provide client feedback to the company to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- 7+ years of programmatic/ad tech sales experience with ad agencies in the NY tri-state market.
- Strong understanding and enthusiasm for digital media, ad tech, data targeting, 1st party data, platform sales, programmatic, behavioral targeting, and optimization strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and quickly gain product efficiency.
- Smart, articulate, polished, self-driven, highly motivated team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Superb organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A consultative, strategic thinker with great energy and enthusiasm for prospecting and closing new business.
- Demonstrated proficiency in demo-premised and solution-premised selling.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
