About the Role
SANY’s Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Charter Elementary School is seeking a Lead Elementary Teacher K-5 for the 2026-2027 academic year. We offer a supportive environment for both new and experienced teachers.
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum.
- Collaborate with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
- Prepare students for standardized tests relevant to the content area.
- Utilize analytics and data to drive instruction and promote learning.
- Accept regular feedback and accountability.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- New York State Certification required.
- Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education.
- Experience with diverse populations or in an urban setting is a plus.
- Prior teaching experience preferred; novice teachers are encouraged to apply.
