About the Role
Nexcade is building the agentic operating system for supply chain operators, transforming how they communicate and optimize logistics spend. This role is central to expanding the AI platform for freight forwarders, focusing on turning strategic decisions into customer-dependent products.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap, priorities, and performance of specific products from problem definition through launch and adoption.
- Partner with founders on overall product direction and strategy.
- Work closely with freight forwarders to understand their workflows and identify customer problems to build products for.
- Turn ideas into working prototypes and early product versions, testing them with customers using AI tools and code.
- Work hands-on with engineering to take promising ideas into production.
- Build a clear view of the market, identify new workflows for Nexcade to enter, and turn them into revenue-generating products.
- Define success measures, test assumptions, accuracy, edge cases, and second-order effects before scaling.
- Write clear specifications and decision documents, including written recommendations.
- Establish a clear planning and decision-making cadence without adding bureaucracy.
- Ensure product meetings are well-prepared and teams have necessary context.
- Work closely with engineering to decide on investments in shared capabilities versus product-specific approaches.
Requirements
- Strong product judgment with experience owning meaningful product work in a complex B2B product.
- Ability to show how decisions changed customer behavior or business results.
- Experience defining success clearly and testing assumptions, accuracy, and edge cases before scaling.
- Ability to turn complex workflows into simple, coherent, and trustworthy products.
- Care about the details that make users choose products.
- Ability to work effectively with strong engineers, understanding trade-offs across architecture, AI, data, and integrations.
- Bring the customer and product perspective to choices about speed, quality, and reuse.
- Ability to get beyond what customers ask for to understand how their work really happens.
- Distinguish repeatable needs from bespoke requests.
- Use customer and market insight to make product choices that drive adoption, expansion, and revenue.
- High agency and directness; take ownership and hold a high bar.
- Ability to disagree openly and constructively.
- Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, and changing priorities.
- Drawn to complex, messy problems in essential industries and desire to understand how people and systems work.
- Industry experience is a bonus, but not required.
