About the Role
This role supports the European Commission in facilitating dialogue and consultations with various stakeholders at global and regional levels, primarily through the Policy Forum on Development. The objective is to explore new cooperation avenues with civil society, foundations, and local authorities, and to guide these organizations. The role also involves contributing to policy-related documents and background materials.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main interlocutor for DG INTPA G2 for contract management.
- Ensure high quality of PFD consultations and deliverables.
- Provide strategic vision for the assignment.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of all experts.
- Advise on activity identification and implementation.
- Actively contribute to the development of activities.
- Facilitate PFD meetings and ensure follow-up actions.
Requirements
- University degree (Master or equivalent) in political science, international relations, international law, social sciences, economics, or a relevant discipline.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) plus 3 years of work experience in addition to the 7 years of general professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilitation and moderation of multi-stakeholder consultation activities.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in drafting reports, policy papers, background documents, agendas, and concept notes.
- C1 level of English.
- C1 level of either French or Spanish.
- At least B2 level of the other language (French or Spanish) is an asset.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in EU external policies.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in multistakeholder engagement in policy processes and dialogues with international organizations and/or state actors.
- Minimum 2 assignments as a team leader of a team of international experts, covering a minimum of 3 years in total.
- Professional experience in managing projects related to consultations with civil society, local authorities, or foundations is an asset.
- Professional experience in designing and conducting studies and analysis in related fields is an asset.
- Field experience in any EU partner countries is an asset.
