About the Role

The Infra Electrical Projects Team is seeking an Electrical Projects Engineering Lead to serve as the front-line leader and technical representative for critical electrical infrastructure. This role is responsible for the strategic development and execution of CAPEX roadmaps, overseeing high-impact end-of-life retrofits and capacity expansion projects essential to the 24x7x365 reliability of semiconductor fabrication facilities. The lead will bridge the gap between executive planning and technical execution, ensuring scalable, safe, and resilient power distribution systems, and providing technical mentorship to engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to a team of electrical project engineers, managing workload distribution.
  • Act as a technical mentor to junior and mid-level engineers, providing feedback and supporting professional growth.
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance goals for team members, conduct annual performance reviews, and drive accountability.
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and implement training plans or certification paths.
  • Promote a "Safety First" culture, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and a psychologically safe environment.
  • Lead the technical direction for the design, code compliance, and safety validation of power distribution systems.
  • Serve as the primary lead for Arc-Flash analysis and site-wide compliance.
  • Establish, review, and approve site-wide electrical specifications for medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) distribution equipment.
  • Drive the application of industry standards to maximize facility uptime and operational stability.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle—from conceptual design and feasibility reporting to final delivery.
  • Author and finalize Feasibility Reports and Conceptual Designs.
  • Lead the engineering transition from pre-construction through construction and final turnover to Operations.
  • Manage and hold accountable external consultant design teams, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Serve as the primary electrical representative in collaborations with Project Managers, field technicians, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Finalize QA/QC reviews on all engineering deliverables and vendor proposals.
  • Lead the department's participation in internal and external ISO 50001 audits.
  • Drive corporate sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives through innovative electrical engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of electrical design and project experience in an industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects.
  • Expert knowledge of MV/LV (15kV–208V) equipment, including power system fault/coordination studies, protection schemes, and protective relays.
  • Deep experience in the design, sizing, and operation of MCCs, ATS, STS, Transformers, Emergency Generators, and UPS systems.
  • Proficiency in Electric Motors, VFD/AFD, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS).
  • Expert proficiency with IBC, IFC, NFPA, and other regulatory codes applicable to industrial power distribution.
  • Advanced proficiency with electrical modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM).
  • Proven experience managing the full design-to-construction pipeline for large-scale industrial projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical strategies to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain a high-level strategic view while managing granular technical details.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a proven ability to meet aggressive goals within tight timelines in a high-pressure environment.
  • This position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws. Employment may be contingent on either the applicant verifying that the applicant falls under the “U.S. Person” definition or the employer timely obtaining any necessary export license under federal law.
  • By submitting an application, you agree not to disclose to Samsung or induce or encourage Samsung to use any confidential or proprietary information (including trade secrets) belonging to a current or former employer or other entity.
