About the Role
SMART is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a high-profile contract in White City. This role focuses on maintaining environmental conditions and critical building systems to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM, reactive, and breakdown work on all mechanical systems.
- Ensure routine PPM is performed according to site schedules and asset lists.
- Complete reactive tasks throughout the building and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Submit all required paperwork for reactive and breakdown tasks, ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs/SLAs.
- Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Ensure plant rooms are always locked, clean, and tidy.
- Supervise and monitor subcontractor works on site.
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work, safety procedures, and client requirements.
- Promote safe practices with correct PPE and adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of HVAC, hot & cold-water systems, and generators.
- Ability to fault-find using graphical and alarm data.
- Basic electrical knowledge is desirable.
