About the Role
Longshot Systems Ltd is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and evolve its advanced platforms for sports betting, analytics, and trading. This role involves owning the infrastructure that supports critical business systems, including trading and connectivity platforms, with a focus on automation, repeatability, and minimal latency.
Responsibilities
- Support production & development trading infrastructure.
- Develop new infrastructure.
- Detect, diagnose, and solve performance and stability issues in applications, networks, and operating systems.
- Wade through metrics, packet dumps, and logs to find and solve issues.
- Automate issue resolution.
- Take day-to-day ownership over monitoring and alerting tools.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a DevOps engineer, Linux focused.
- Experience with security, user management, auditing, and provisioning.
- Experience with configuration management, specifically Ansible.
- Strong AWS skills: EC2, VPC, RDS etc.
- Networking experience including AWS VPC multi-region networking, routing, VPN, and general network security competence.
- Fluency in bash and python for automation work.
- DB admin experience with Postgres.
- Proven experience within the financial, trading, or gaming sector.
