About the Role
We are seeking a Student Consultant to support a 5-day business consulting challenge alongside students from the Singapore University of Social Sciences. You will help international teams understand the Japanese market, engage with local businesses, and develop real solutions that drive impact.
Responsibilities
- Join store visits to help analyse challenges faced by local Japanese retail businesses.
- Support international students during fieldwork by sharing cultural insights, facilitating communication, and helping them understand industry norms.
- Assist teams as they brainstorm, adapt, and refine their recommendations for the Japanese market.
- Provide advice and feedback to students as they prepare and deliver their final presentations on Friday, 11 December.
- Provide occasional ad-hoc localisation support outside the main schedule, such as introducing yourself in the consultant Line chat.
Requirements
- Open to both local Japanese students and foreign students studying in Japan.
- Preferably currently enrolled as a university student (full-time or part-time).
- Able to commit to all project dates: 7-11 December 2026 9:00–18:00 Japan Standard Time with a 1-hour lunch break.
- Available to attend an approximately one-hour consultant training call ahead of the program.
- Comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
