About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, commercially minded Executive Assistant to work hand-in-hand with our Founder, Sam. This role involves running his inbox, writing on his behalf, and prioritizing tasks to ensure business objectives are met. You will understand company goals and use this to make informed decisions independently. This is an opportunity for someone with 4+ years in a PA or EA role to gain significant responsibility and exposure to scaling a business.

Responsibilities

  • Own Sam's inbox end to end: triage, action, delegate, archive.
  • Draft and send emails, messages and replies in Sam's voice.
  • Write first drafts of internal memos, all-hands notes, briefing documents and talking points.
  • Manage Sam's calendar strategically to protect focus time and align with company priorities.
  • Maintain a clear view of Sam's workload and chase outstanding items.
  • Prepare Sam for all important meetings, including commercial context and desired outcomes.
  • Make judgment calls under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Understand the business model, key metrics, and quarterly goals to identify commercial priorities.
  • Support partner, investor, and board activities, including scheduling and preparing materials.
  • Track key commercial follow-ups to ensure no opportunities are missed.
  • Manage budgets for events, suppliers, and office expenses, including negotiation.
  • Process payroll, invoices, and expenses accurately and on time.
  • Organize all-hands meetings, team events, and offsites.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the office, including supplies and mail.
  • Contribute to shaping a fun, engaging, and collaborative company culture.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks and special projects as required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a PA or EA role, ideally supporting a founder, CEO, or senior leader in a fast-moving environment.
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of business drivers and growth.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to quickly adopt a specific tone.
  • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and say no politely.
  • Proactive and able to anticipate needs.
  • Discreet and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Team player with good relationship-building skills.
