About the Role
The "System on Flex" group is one of seven working groups in the "System Integration & Interconnection Technologies" (SIIT) department, focusing on the development of technologies for flexible, stretchable, and formable electronics. Novel substrate technologies and contacting methods are developed and investigated, with applications ranging from self-sufficient sensor systems to smart textiles and medical implants. We are seeking a technical employee in the field of textile technologies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in research projects and industrial collaborations in the field of E-Textiles.
- Create test samples, demonstrators, and prototypes in the field of electronic textiles (E-Textiles) using various processes.
- Support process development and execute processes in the field of E-Textile development (e.g., integration of conductive and electronic components into textile substrates, production of functional yarn).
- Conduct reliability and characterization studies on E-Textiles, followed by failure and damage analysis.
- Prepare documentation and compile experimental results.
