About the Role
As Senior Data Analyst, Compliance, you'll be a high-performing individual contributor on the broader analytics team, connecting business needs with technology. You'll turn business requirements into well-defined data products and own the full “Requirement-to-Reporting” lifecycle. This role involves ensuring requirements are robust and detailed, data engineers build the right foundations, and balancing data governance with business flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to pin down their core objectives and turn them into detailed functional specs and technical roadmaps.
- Lead the definition of North Star metrics and KPIs, keeping departments aligned to avoid data silos and conflicting definitions.
- Own source-to-target mappings, logic flowcharts and business requirement documents (BRDs).
- Find internal and external data sources each business need requires, and run exploratory analysis to surface data gaps and quality issues.
- Work closely with data engineers to design scalable pipelines, supplying the business logic and transformation rules.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), checking transformation logic and data integrity before production.
- Design and build reporting solutions (Tableau, Power BI or internal tools) that tell a meaningful business story.
- Deliver data in a form the business can use, putting dashboard UX/UI first for non-technical user adoption.
Requirements
- 4–8+ years as a Senior Analyst or Analytics Consultant, focused on delivering data products end to end.
- Strong first-principles thinking to break vague requests into structured data projects with specific schemas, logic and metrics.
- Skill with AI tools for prototyping SQL logic, automating documentation and identifying machine learning opportunities.
- Expert communication across technical and business audiences.
- Expert SQL, plus Python or R for data exploration, validation and analysis.
- Working experience with dbt, Git or similar tools.
- Deep skill in visualization, dashboard building and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience in Tableau, Mode, Power BI or similar.
