About the Role
ImageCare Balltown is seeking a full-time Patient Support Specialist to join their team, handling patient check-ins, scheduling, and administrative tasks in a medical office setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients upon arrival.
- Process incoming telephone calls and messages according to office policy.
- Schedule patient appointments following office protocols.
- Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by providers or indicated on encounter forms.
- Obtain patient signatures on waivers per insurance requirements.
- Organize and monitor the provider's daily schedule.
- Maintain timely patient flow.
- Verify and update patient insurance coverage and demographic information at each visit.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
- Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
