About the Role

As CTO, you will shape the technological future of the ETERNO Group at the intersection of health, cloud, and AI. You will be the technical lead in the leadership team, developing the technology strategy, managing engineering and data teams of 50+ employees, and laying the foundation for future growth.

Responsibilities

Implement product strategy with the Product Team, establishing cross-functional teams with clear end-to-end ownership, high delivery speed, and measurable customer value.
Make architectural decisions, implement them with the teams, and ensure operational stability for a scalable, resilient, and economical platform.
Oversee the economic viability of the technology organization, managing engineering and infrastructure investments based on business impact and ensuring transparency in costs, productivity, and economies of scale.
Foster a common engineering culture, integrate cloud platforms with existing legacy systems, and support technical due diligence and integration for further acquisitions.
Expand data and ML capabilities, integrating AI and automation into products and processes.
Balance rapid product development with security, data protection (GDPR, C5), and interoperability (FHIR/HL7).
Develop the engineering organization and its leaders, strengthening ownership and collaboration with Product.
Represent ETERNO as the technical face to customers and partners, including collaboration with AWS.

Requirements

Software engineering background with architectural responsibility, proven experience as CTO or equivalent with 50+ employees, combining strategy and execution.
Healthcare background is a plus. Alternatively, experience in another regulated environment like FinTech, coupled with passion and a basic understanding of the healthcare system.
Sound judgment of complex solution approaches and confident decision-making for the appropriate architecture in the given context.
Make organizational and technical decisions from a product perspective, prioritizing based on customer value and business worth.
Think in terms of economic viability, costs, and business impact.
Successfully merge teams, platforms, and cultures, and develop them sustainably.
Very good German and English language skills (C1+).
Experience with the expectations of PE investors, particularly reporting, KPI management, and investor communication, is desirable.
