About the Role
Seeking a Solution Architect/Designer experienced in AIA/ACDs to lead end-to-end solution design for International Payments initiatives. This role requires independent operation with ISG and project teams, and navigation of governance forums.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution design for International Payments initiatives and transformation programs.
- Design API-based and event-driven integrations across banking and payment ecosystems.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient solution designs.
- Create and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), interface specifications, and data flow models.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Development Teams, and Vendor partners.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate solution options and provide recommendations balancing business needs and technical constraints.
- Support delivery teams throughout the development, testing, and implementation lifecycle.
- Drive solution governance, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with AIA/ACDs.
- Ability to operate independently with ISG and project teams.
- Ability to navigate required governance forums.
- Deep knowledge of International Payments, Cross-Border Payments, SWIFT Payments, SWIFT MT/MX Messaging, ISO 20022, and API & Integration Architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience designing REST APIs, Microservices Architectures, Event-Driven Architectures, and API Gateway Solutions.
- Proven experience in Integration Solution Design, Data Modelling and Mapping, API Design Standards, Security and Non-Functional Requirements, and System and Application Integration.
- Hands-on experience with FGPP Payment Processing Flows, Payment Routing Configuration, Settlement and Reconciliation, SWIFT Integration, Interface and Channel Integration, and Product Configuration and Customisation.
- Experience in Tier-1 banking environments.
- Exposure to payment modernisation programs.
- Experience supporting migration from legacy payment platforms.
- Knowledge of payment regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with FIS Global Payments Plus (FGPP) is highly desirable.
