You will play an important role in delivering practical HR support, strengthening workplace culture, and creating positive employee experiences across our portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day People & Culture support and guidance to hotel leaders and team members across our Sydney properties and shared services hub.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and talent development activities to attract and retain great people.
  • Assist with the interpretation and application of employment legislation, awards, workplace policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Support learning and development initiatives, including brand, service, and leadership training.
  • Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition, and culture initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Assist with workforce reporting, HR documentation, and the implementation of portfolio-wide People & Culture initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and team members, promoting consistent and effective people practices.
  • Assist the People & Culture Business Partner with employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in a generalist HR or People & Culture role, ideally within hospitality, hotels, or another service-focused industry.
  • A sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and modern awards, or a willingness and ability to develop this knowledge.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to support and influence stakeholders.
  • An interest in employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, and workplace culture.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Initiative, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Hotel experience will be advantageous.
