About the Role
Help modernise the control systems behind Australia’s energy future by bringing SCADA and EMS expertise to challenging energy and transmission projects. This role offers the opportunity to grow the team, mentor others, and shape PSC’s SCADA/EMS capability in Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex SCADA & EMS delivery, providing senior technical expertise across upgrades, modernisation and integration from design through to operational transition.
- Apply experience across EMS/SCADA configuration, network and database modelling, displays and HMIs, alarms, system interfaces, troubleshooting and technical testing.
- Solve integration challenges by working alongside clients, technology vendors and system integration partners.
- Contribute to testing and commissioning activities, including system integration testing, FAT, SAT, UAT, point-to-point testing, defect resolution and operational readiness.
- Share knowledge, mentor developing consultants and provide practical technical guidance.
- Build trusted client relationships by understanding challenges and identifying areas for value addition.
Requirements
- Significant career experience working with SCADA or EMS systems.
- Experience with GE e-Terra, AspenTech/OSI, or similar EMS platforms.
- Experience across configuration, modelling, displays, databases, integration, testing, or commissioning.
- Technically capable and comfortable communicating with clients and vendors.
- Willingness to share knowledge with colleagues.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or PowerShell is useful.
- Relevant qualifications or substantial hands-on industry experience.
- Strong expertise around complex utility control systems with transferable experience.
