About the Role

You'll own how Campfire makes money on every deal, focusing on pricing strategy, deal structuring, partner economics, and the systems that support these functions. You will model deals rigorously and develop code to streamline future transactions, working closely with sales leadership, legal, finance, and business operations with the authority to make key decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Structure and approve non-standard deals, including multi-year ramps, discounts, buyouts, swaps, implementation fees, and payment terms.
  • Develop and refine pricing strategy, including packaging and price book, moving towards value-based pricing.
  • Own unit economics for each product and build business cases for new products and AI features.
  • Define and manage the discount and approval policy, including exception escalation and playbooks for sales.
  • Model economics for channel and platform deals, ensuring fair value capture.
  • Build financial models for margin, payback, LTV, and downstream impacts on ARR, bookings, and quota credit.
  • Develop systems and automations for quoting, approvals, and deal analytics across CRM and internal tools.
  • Partner with sales on contract terms and live negotiations.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, strategic finance, or a related finance function.
  • Experience at a high-growth technology company is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to use tools like Claude Code for model building, analysis, and automation.
  • Proven track record of building and shipping tangible projects such as models, pipelines, or tools.
  • Ability to identify flaws in structures and articulate them concisely.
  • Capacity to explain complex deals or pricing changes to leadership and the board.
  • Willingness to take ownership and see deals through to completion.
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Attention to detail in pricing and financial calculations.
