About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking a dynamic Distribution Sourcing Analyst to support preferred distribution suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services for complex programs. This strategic role involves managing high-value procurements and navigating market conditions to ensure a resilient, compliant, and growth-optimized supply chain.

Responsibilities

Lead procurement activities for complex programs, managing assigned commodities.
Assist distribution partners in translating technical specifications into purchase orders.
Manage the procurement lifecycle from proposal review to supplier selection and award administration.
Analyze forecasted spend, demand trends, and market volatility to develop sourcing strategies.
Act as the lead negotiator for purchase order modifications and resolve complex invoicing issues.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Procurement Compliance and Cost/Price Analysis.
Drive supplier engagement, focusing on quality, performance, and best practice adoption.
Manage high-value procurements impacting programs that define the future of defense.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work experience or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability to resolve contractual and performance issues with suppliers.
Project/Supplier Management or applicable equivalent experience.
Financial acumen in quoting, P&L, and operating margin.
Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and flow down requirements.
Knowledge of ITAR and EAR.
Understanding of CPSR audits and requirements.
Comprehensive understanding of subcontractor solicitations and bid analysis/process.
