About the Role
The Bartender at Starlite is responsible for crafting an exceptional guest experience and embodying the vibrant spirit of the lounge. This role requires a blend of mixology expertise, high-volume service efficiency, and outstanding hospitality to uphold the "Starlite Standard" of impeccable cocktails and refined presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve classic and signature cocktails with precision, focusing on technique, flavor balance, and garnishing.
- Create a sophisticated bar experience by engaging guests, offering expert recommendations, and maintaining a professional presence.
- Maintain an immaculate and organized bar, ensuring efficient "mise en place" for high-volume service without compromising quality.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of spirits, bitters, infusions, and glassware, ensuring consistency in every drink.
- Collaborate effectively with support staff and floor team, providing clear direction for bar stocking and readiness.
- Manage cash and credit transactions with integrity, performing opening and closing duties including inventory, restocking, and deep cleaning.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume, upscale cocktail lounge, craft bar, or luxury hotel environment.
- Deep understanding of classic cocktail builds, spirits categories, wine service, and contemporary mixology trends.
- Exceptional ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining a calm and graceful demeanor.
- Fluent in English with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with high-end clientele and internal teams.
- Current Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications (e.g., LEAD/TIPS) are mandatory.
- Adherence to all state and local liquor laws regarding over-service and ID verification.
