About the Role
Ingredients Plus is hiring CDL A Drivers for regional routes based in Lakeville, New York. This position offers predictable weekly home time, delivering food-grade ingredients using various trailer types. Drivers typically work a five-day schedule, spending two to five nights in the sleeper per week.
Responsibilities
- Complete safe and on-time local and regional deliveries
- Provide professional and courteous service at customer locations
- Operate liquid tanker, bulk pneumatic, and van trailers
- Assist with loading, unloading, and trailer wash requirements
- Follow dispatch instructions and customer delivery requirements
- Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and required DVIR inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and hours-of-service records
- Report equipment defects, accidents, injuries, and traffic violations promptly
- Maintain a clean tractor in good operating condition
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, traffic, and company safety requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, service, and efficiency
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least one year of CDL A commercial driving experience
- Qualified to operate as an interstate driver under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Acceptable motor vehicle and safety record
- No more than one moving violation during the preceding three years
- No major preventable accidents
- Able to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and post-offer background check
- Able to lift 50 pounds routinely
- Able to bend, stretch, twist, climb, push, pull, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willing to work flexible days and hours based on customer and business needs
- Tanker endorsement must be obtained before the start date
