About the Role
Email is one of our most important storytelling channels at Superpower. You will design the emails our members receive at every stage, ensuring every send looks sharp, reads clearly, and drives action. This role operates in "founder mode" for design, focusing on hands-on execution and identifying areas for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own email design end to end, from lifecycle and automated flows to campaigns, newsletters and transactional emails
- Partner with the content team on structure, hierarchy and how copy and visuals work together in the inbox
- Work with the design team to keep email aligned with the brand system, and help extend that system with email components and templates
- Build modular, reusable templates that let the team ship faster without losing quality
- Design for how email actually renders: mobile first, dark mode, and the quirks of different email clients
- Use performance data (open rates, click-through, conversion) to shape your designs, and run tests to find what works
- Ship fast; your first version needs to exist before it's perfect
- Give and receive direct feedback
Requirements
- 3–6+ years of design experience across brand, digital, product, or a combination, with a strong focus on digital
- A portfolio that shows range: product screens, campaign work, web design, and a few pieces outside digital marketing
- Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and interaction design
- An understanding of how email renders across clients and devices
- Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching — you can reprioritize quickly without losing quality
- Speed and craft
