About the Role
The Jet bridge Operator is responsible for ensuring the Jet-Bridge is positioned on aircraft for arrivals and removed for departures, exercising extreme caution as this equipment touches an aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Position Jet-Bridge on aircraft for arrivals and remove for departures.
- Perform pre-arrival/post-departure checks fifteen minutes prior to arrival/departure.
- Ensure the bridge is stowed correctly in the appropriate box.
- Ensure cables are stowed.
- Ensure canopy and auto-level is fully engaged or disengaged.
- Clear the area of vehicles, objects, and personnel prior to Jet-Bridge movement.
- Work independently on at least 2 Jet-Bridges upon completion of training.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Jet Bridge operation experience.
- Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Possess and maintain other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
- Must be able to pass SIDA airport and training tests.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess basic computer literacy.
