About the Role
The Software Product Manager is a member of the Data and Analytics team, responsible for managing software products and data assets to realize business opportunities. This role reports to the Chief Data Officer and is a remote opportunity for US colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business needs, gather requirements, and develop plans to ensure they are met.
- Translate business needs into detailed requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments.
- Drive the execution of all processes in the software product lifecycle, including discovery, requirements, roadmap development, execution, and launch.
- Collaborate closely with end users, engineering, UX, and QA, balancing resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
- Apply and promote agile best practices.
- Provide regular updates to various stakeholders.
- Define, measure, and monitor success metrics for the product.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and professional experience preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software product management roles (Insurtech experience is a plus).
- Proven success in managing the full product development lifecycle.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Passion for data and analytics.
- Ability to process and adapt to change in a rapid growth company environment.
- Curious, thrifty, and resourceful to manage through the unknowns of growing a specialty (re)insurance business from the ground up.
- Individuals who have been convicted of a felony may be prohibited from engaging in the business of insurance without prior written consent from the applicable regulatory authority.
- Possessing a criminal record free from felony offenses involving dishonesty, breach of trust, or violation of financial regulations is a bona fide occupational qualification for all roles at Vantage Risk Companies.
