About the Role
Oversee the performance of the family services team, conduct case file audits and weekly meetings, and connect families to resources. Take on a caseload as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Family Services with the day-to-day operation of the department.
- Manage and maintain several departmental reports.
- Ensure that family services staff are referring clients to existing employment readiness services, housing leads and community resources.
- Carry a case load when there is a staff vacancy.
- Ensure that intakes are completed within 48 hours of arrival and provide signature for each.
- Complete chart audits to ensure compliance with state and city mandates.
- Provide ongoing training and support to family services staff.
- Ensure that all State and DHS mandates are being adhered to.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in the field of family services.
- Familiarity with DHS procedures.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
