About the Role
NoMo SoHo Hotel is seeking a high-energy, optimistic part-time bartender for its NoMo SoHo Kitchen, which offers a picturesque, greenhouse setting and serves a seasonal American menu with global influences, a popular weekend brunch, and a handcrafted cocktail program.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proper bar set-up, including requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, spirits, and other supplies based on daily projections.
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
- Greet guests courteously and friendly, promote and document orders for drinks, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
- Acknowledge all State, Federal, and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
- Input orders into a register, create checks for each guest, and maintain accountability of all beverages served.
- Receive cash from guests, make change as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and execute vouchers to balance all money.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One year of experience as a Bartender.
- A Tips or ServSafe Alcohol Awareness training.
- Food handler certification.
- Bartending License.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for our hospitality and guest service.
- Team Player: Works well as a member of a group.
- Experience working in a busy restaurant with a bar.
