About the Role

Join Bain's integrated suite of agentic decisioning tools, building software that empowers large organizations with always-on intelligence for critical growth decisions. This role offers a unique blend of consultancy's analytical depth, product company's technical ambition, and applied AI engineering at the frontier.

Responsibilities

  • Own the statistical modeling and analytical delivery for product module workstreams, from problem framing to production handoff.
  • Design, build, and validate Bayesian statistical models, time-series forecasts, and domain-specific analytical frameworks.
  • Translate statistical model outputs into structured, versioned data products for product interfaces and agentic workflows.
  • Own the validation and evaluation framework for workstreams, including back-testing and out-of-sample checks.
  • Design models and outputs for operation by the broader team and automated agentic workflows.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure data quality and define data requirements for models.
  • Contribute to the evaluation framework for data quality at the model input layer.
  • Stay current with domain-specific data sources and benchmarks.
  • Present model methodology, outputs, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead working sessions to stress-test model assumptions and interpret outputs.
  • Operate as a credible analytical voice in stakeholder settings.
  • Drive innovation in analytical methodology and share learnings with the data science team.

Requirements

  • Deep Bayesian statistical expertise, including prior structure design, convergence issue diagnosis, and assumption stress-testing.
  • Strong domain knowledge in marketing mix modeling, media ROI measurement, brand equity, consumer choice modeling, or pricing and revenue growth management analytics.
  • Strong Python proficiency for statistical modeling and data analysis, including probabilistic programming and scientific computing.
  • Experience designing and running experiments (A/B testing, out-of-sample validation, back-testing, sensitivity analysis) with statistical rigor.
  • Ability to translate statistical model outputs into structured data products for engineers and agentic workflows.
  • Familiarity with data sources and benchmarks for commercial analytics, including their limitations.
  • Working knowledge of how model outputs are consumed by product interfaces and agentic systems.
  • Native AI fluency, including active use of AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to responsible analytical practices, including honest uncertainty quantification and clear documentation of model limitations.
  • 8 or more years of applied data science or quantitative modeling experience in a commercial, consulting-adjacent, or product environment.
  • Track record of building and owning production-grade statistical models for clients or products.
  • Deep domain expertise in at least one of: marketing mix modeling and media ROI analytics, brand equity and consumer choice modeling, or pricing elasticity and revenue growth management.
  • Direct experience presenting statistical methodology and model outputs to senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional product or case team environments.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers to translate model outputs into product features or automated workflows is a strong advantage.
