About the Role

HOPEWELL STAFFING is sourcing candidates for a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN in the AUSTIN, TX area. The Laboratory Technician performs various simple laboratory procedures under the supervision of an ASCP registered medical technologist.

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
Perform computer data entry.
Process and package specimens for transport to reference lab.
Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, TSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent
One-year of full-time phlebotomy work preferred
Possess valid Texas driver’s license
Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements
Must submit to HHSC required drug test
Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting
Must complete facility and HHSC required training
