About the Role
Growth is part of the Revenue team, responsible for building Alma's merchant acquisition engine. This involves defining target merchants, acquisition strategies, and optimizing the conversion, activation, and retention processes across France and international markets. The team operates with an AI-native approach, utilizing a shared library of skills and connectors within Claude Code, with a structured delivery lifecycle where human decisions guide automated processes. The team is rebuilding its Go-To-Market system around five layers: market definition, signals, data & enrichment, decision & routing, and activation, including migrating the merchant lifecycle off HubSpot to a modern customer engagement platform.
Responsibilities
- Own the B2B lifecycle, from lead to active merchant.
- Design and run journeys that drive revenue: lead nurturing, onboarding, activating signed merchants who haven't taken a first payment, retention and win-back.
- Reach the right merchants at the right moment with the right message, using segments built on live data.
- Run a yearly campaign calendar alongside always-on journeys.
- Invent how Alma talks to consumers as the first lifecycle person for B2C products.
- Lead the migration off HubSpot, including platform selection, auditing current processes, and planning the switch.
- Define the data model, consent management, and deliverability setup with the Growth Engineer and Data team.
- Measure shipped initiatives using control groups and A/B tests, reporting on activations, reactivations, and influenced TPV.
- Build personal segments and analyses, and share insights with relevant teams.
- Act as the CRM project lead across Revenue, aligning teams on shared campaigns.
- Make other teams autonomous on simple communications to focus on revenue-driving programs.
Requirements
- 5+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or marketing automation, across both B2B and B2C.
- Experience running B2B programs with Sales or Account Management on large portfolios (1,000+ accounts).
- Experience building consumer activation and engagement journeys at scale.
- Proven ability to turn a business goal into a segment, timing, and message, demonstrating revenue impact.
- Hands-on experience with a modern customer engagement platform (Braze, Customer.io, Iterable, or equivalent), including building journeys, segments, and personalization.
- Experience leading or contributing to a platform migration is a strong asset.
- Data autonomy: ability to pull segments and results from a BI tool, design tests with control groups, and understand data flows between CRM, warehouse, and marketing platforms.
- Experience owning projects involving multiple teams without formal authority and prioritizing effectively.
- Excellent writing skills in native-level French.
- Fluent English.
