About the Role
This role is a key part of shaping the next chapter of our combined organization and advancing our shared mission to transform veterinary care. You will be the recruiting partner for veterinary technicians and other veterinary roles in your markets, building lasting relationships with the veterinary community and guiding candidates through a thoughtful, high-touch experience. You will also help plan for new practice openings by setting talent benchmarks, building outreach plans, and tracking candidate progress, directly shaping how we grow.
Responsibilities

- Travel to clinics and priority markets to meet candidates, learn about local talent, and grow referral networks.
- Spend time in clinics to understand team culture and staffing needs, and to find referral opportunities.
- Own the full hiring process, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer strategy, and closing.
- Manage all candidate communication from initial outreach to offer letter.
- Source passive candidates through direct outreach, industry networking, job boards, and social media.
- Think outside the box on outreach and offers to meet business needs and candidate requests.
- Coordinate on-site interviews and ensure clinic leaders are prepared.
- Maintain a steady bench of candidates at every experience level.
- Build relationships with veterinary schools, alumni networks, industry associations, and local veterinary communities.
- Plan and host networking events and candidate dinners, and attend CE and conference events.
- Work with Regional Directors of Operations, Medical Directors, Practice Managers, and medical leadership to forecast needs, spot coverage gaps, and understand role requirements.
- Keep accurate candidate records and capture conversations and feedback.
- Use recruiting data and market intelligence to sharpen sourcing and improve conversion.
- Help create and refine consistent hiring practices across markets.
- Collaborate with other recruiters to meet all hiring needs.
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (3+ years preferred).

- Solid understanding of medical terminology (animal or human).
- Executive presence, sound judgment, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfort influencing senior clinicians and leadership.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment; take initiative and make thoughtful decisions quickly.
- Relationship-driven, resourceful, self-directed.
