About the Role

We are hiring a Solutions Architect to join our New Verticals team to play a critical role in driving growth across our various products and services. You will be the first Solutions Architect hired onto this team, with a significant role in building the playbook, determining success, and setting the groundwork for scaling. Your key priority will be utilizing your growth sense and technical expertise to guide merchants on how DoorDash enterprise SaaS products can fit into their business, team, and tech infrastructure. You will become an expert in our product suite and enterprise grocery/retail tech stacks, processes, and common pain points, helping merchants understand how their key infrastructure connects to our offerings. This role involves a mix of consulting and contributing to the sales process, with cross-functional collaboration with external merchants and internal teams like product, engineering, sales, and strategy & operations. You will report to a Senior Director and function as an individual contributor.

Responsibilities

Guide merchants on how DoorDash enterprise SaaS products can fit into their business, team, and tech infrastructure.
Become an expert in DoorDash's product suite and enterprise grocery/retail tech stacks, processes, and common pain points.
Help merchants understand how their key infrastructure connects to DoorDash's offerings.
Act as a consultant and key contributor to the sales process.
Collaborate with external merchants and internal teams like product, engineering, sales, and strategy & operations.
Scale a business that is a pivotal strategic bet for the company.
Help merchants customize and optimize their first-party digital shopping experience.
Work on high-visibility initiatives alongside cross-functional leaders in product, engineering, and strategy.
Leverage a data-driven approach to guide optimizing both time and merchant resources.
Consult and win new business using technical expertise, ideally in e-commerce.
Invest in growing the businesses DoorDash partners with.
Build trust and collaborate with merchants, guiding them through complex decisions to re-envision their tech stack to drive greater same-store sales growth through their own channels.
Strategize, build, and own short & long-term outcomes that support and scale the Retail & Grocery Services business.
Partner on building technical infrastructure by creating roadmaps, identifying growth vectors, and scaling products.
Operate at the lowest level of detail to ensure successful execution.
Understand products thoroughly and anticipate and address potential challenges as the business scales.

Requirements

6-10+ years of professional experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, growth, product, product ops, strategy/biz ops, or technical GTM roles.
E-commerce experience strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills with high EQ.
Ability to articulate complex technical details into business requirements and goals for internal & external audiences.
Extreme sense of ownership and responsibility.
Ability to provide solutions to ambiguous problems with a tactical execution plan.
Builder mentality, thriving on building from the ground up.
Ability to create structure and process in chaos with minimal oversight.
Systems thinker with experience using a variety of software tools.
Ability to move fast and achieve results quickly.
Ability to toggle between strategic and tactical thinking.
Ability to work through complex problems with a long-term vision and execute at a detailed level.
