About the Role
Buffalo Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join their outpatient surgery center team. This position is often the first point of contact for patients and families, requiring someone who can provide a welcoming experience while keeping the front desk organized and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and checking in patients and visitors
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information
- Assisting with registration paperwork
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient information
- Communicating with clinical and administrative staff
- Providing courteous assistance to patients and family members
- Performing general front-office and clerical duties
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional, compassionate demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
- Previous medical office, healthcare reception, or patient registration experience preferred
