About the Role

Simple Mining is building a platform of turnkey AI data centers and is seeking a leader to spearhead the capital strategy for this initiative. The role offers the opportunity to own the capital stack design, fundraising processes, and investor relationships for a rapidly growing infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

Design the capital stack for each data center, including construction and project debt, equity, joint ventures, and LP structures.
Manage the end-to-end fundraising process, including building financial models, developing narratives, creating materials, and negotiating terms with banks, private credit, infrastructure funds, and strategic investors.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with lenders and investors to facilitate future capital raises.
Collaborate with the Business Development team on lease structures with customers to ensure project financeability.
Oversee accounting and reporting for Simple Mining and the data center business, preparing the organization for institutional capital.
Partner on the employee equity plan and valuation strategy as the data center business evolves into a parent company.

Requirements

Personally led and closed capital raises for capital-intensive infrastructure projects (data centers, power, utilities, energy, or digital infrastructure).
Possess a network of lenders, investors, and LPs who are accessible.
Experience as a Director or Managing Director in investment banking, an infrastructure investor, or a finance leader at a developer.
Fluency in project finance, debt structuring, and investor materials.
Ability to explain a capital stack clearly to diverse audiences.
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting.
MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus.
