The architect will be an expert in identity and access management and zero trust network architecture, with extensive experience designing scaled, secure identity and network platforms for a global company. This position involves bringing teams together to establish a shared, identity-first architecture direction and driving a modern, zero trust approach to transform BCG IT.
Responsibilities
- Define the architecture of identity, access, and network connectivity.
- Bring teams together to leverage the scale of BCG by defining a shared, identity-first architecture direction and guardrails.
- Drive a modern, zero trust approach to identity and network.
- Play a leading role in the transformation of BCG IT.
- Manage the value, opportunities, inventory, roadmaps, rationalisation, and total cost of ownership for identity and network platforms.
- Plan a global identity and network estate across requirements, technology, cost, value and rationalisation.
- Lead and agree investment decisions at a portfolio and individual technology level.
- Lead the development of architectures across identity and access management and zero trust network access.
- Lead decisions through to a conclusion in a highly matrixed organisation with minimal or no supervision.
- Prepare materials for, and present at, senior levels including C-Suite.
- Energise people to set a vision and see the possibilities of modern identity and network technologies.
- Find great answers to complex and ambiguous questions.
- Connect and collaborate across teams to develop their architectures, especially to meet demanding non-functional requirements.
- Seek diverse views, and with a growth mindset consider both conventional and unconventional answers.
- Roll up sleeves and "do", pioneering the way forward and bring others along.
- Produce high-quality Enterprise Architecture arguments and supporting materials.
- Agree architecture arguments at different levels in the organisation.
- Influence and collaborate with others, especially solution architects and technical leaders across the organisation.
- Develop others through mentoring, coaching, and sharing knowledge.
- Apply knowledge of modern identity and network paradigms to work.
- Demonstrate expertise in zero trust architecture, identity governance and administration (IGA), privileged access management, SASE/SSE, and cloud-native directory and authentication services.
- Optimise own role and deliver results.
- Play a part in being efficient to help increase velocity and reduce risk across the architecture team and the teams worked with.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience leading and owning the enterprise architecture of identity and network estates at global scale.
- Considerable experience designing scaled, secure identity and network platforms for a global company.
