About the Role
We are seeking an engineer with experience in IBM Mainframe environments to strengthen our team for projects targeting the life insurance industry. You will be responsible for developing mainframe solutions for IT development projects for life insurance companies, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality results and support problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- System impact analysis
- Development using COBOL and Assembler
- Unit testing
- Investigating and fixing defects during the testing phase
- Explaining deliverables and conducting demonstrations
- Reporting project progress
- Creating deliverables in accordance with development standards and quality criteria
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of system development experience using COBOL
- Development experience in IBM Mainframe (z/OS) or AS400 (IBM i) environments
- Development experience from detailed design through testing
- Native-level Japanese proficiency
