About the Role

We are seeking a leader for design and development in an IBM Mainframe environment to strengthen our project team for the life insurance industry. You will lead the design and development of mainframe solutions in IT development projects for life insurance companies. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality results, solve problems, and manage the team.

Responsibilities

Perform system impact analysis
Conduct high-level design
Perform low-level design
Lead the development team and review deliverables
Coordinate requirements and specifications with clients and stakeholders
Explain deliverables and conduct demonstrations
Lead issue and defect resolution during the testing phase
Coordinate and manage offshore teams
Manage project progress and report status

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and development within an IBM Mainframe environment
Experience in system development using COBOL
Experience in high-level and low-level design
Experience in project leadership or team management
Experience in client negotiation
Native-level Japanese language proficiency
