About the Role
This co-op experience offers a unique opportunity to work with the ITT Goulds Pumps brand, gaining firsthand experience in the design and manufacture of engineered industrial pumps and monitoring equipment. Candidates will receive guidance and mentorship from top mechanical engineering and design professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with technical and project-based tasks related to product maintenance and product development.
- Participate in pump design, including mechanical design calculations and FEA.
- Assist with pump assembly and disassembly in the R&D Test Lab, supporting testing and development.
- Plot and analyze test data.
- Analyze inspection reports and perform scan comparisons of cast/machined parts.
- Generate new and update existing pump curves.
- Update product models and drawings.
- Prepare technical documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering/mechanical engineering technology or similar.
- Must have completed 2 years of related college coursework.
- Proficiency in MS Office and 3D modeling required.
- FEA experience preferred.
