About the Role
We are seeking a leader to design and develop solutions within an IBM Mainframe environment for IT development projects targeting life insurance companies. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality results, solve problems, and manage the team.
Responsibilities
- System impact analysis
- High-level design
- Low-level design
- Lead development team and review deliverables
- Coordinate requirements and specifications with customers and stakeholders
- Explain deliverables and conduct demonstrations
- Lead issue and defect resolution during the testing phase
- Coordinate and manage offshore teams
- Manage project progress and report status
Requirements
- Approximately 7+ years of design and development experience in an IBM Mainframe environment
- System development experience using COBOL
- Experience with high-level and low-level design
- Project lead or team management experience
- Customer negotiation experience
- Native-level Japanese proficiency
