About the Role

We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our Regulatory Disclosures and Reporting team in London. You'll work with business groups across the firm to identify and meet the regulatory reporting and position disclosure obligations that apply to Jane Street's European business. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll build a deep understanding of the UK and EU disclosure regimes and become a point of contact for traders on how those rules apply to their activity. It's a great opportunity to gain exposure to a global trading business and see how UK, EU and international regulations interact.

Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with EU and UK position reporting requirements, including monitoring positions, preparing and submitting disclosures, and reviewing disclosure obligations (e.g., under the EU Short Selling Regulation, Transparency Directive, and UK Takeover Code).
  • Help trading desks understand applicable disclosure requirements.
  • Analyze new and changing regulations, assess their impact on the firm, and translate them into clear business requirements.
  • Collaborate with in-house developers to enhance compliance tools and systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team controls and processes.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external queries.

Requirements

  • Have an undergraduate degree and 1+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience at a liquidity provider, broker, or bank is a plus but not required.
  • Clear communicator capable of explaining reasoning and conclusions to colleagues.
  • Motivated self-starter able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to perform operational tasks; detail-oriented and pragmatic with sound judgment.
  • Reliable, flexible team player with a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working with data and technology.
  • Fluent in English.
