About the Role
We are seeking an Application Engineer for our Japanese team to assist customers with durability engineering and nCode software. This role involves applying digital signal processing, vibration analysis, and fatigue life prediction, providing technical support, conducting training, and offering consulting services.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and understand customers’ durability analysis requirements.
- Demonstrate nCode durability engineering software to customers in pre-sales scenarios, highlighting solutions and benefits.
- Answer technical questions that customers have about durability and reliability.
- Provide technical responses to RFPs from existing and potential customers.
- Conduct training courses on durability engineering concepts and software.
- Provide consulting services for digital signal processing, vibration analysis, and fatigue life prediction.
- Provide post-sales technical support for nCode users via phone, email, and web.
- Provide feedback to product management on future software functionality.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical, aerospace, civil, or industrial) or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 1 year engineering experience.
- Experience with nCode or ReliaSoft software is beneficial, but not required.
- Passion for finding and promoting solutions to customers’ challenges.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Interest in working in a commercial environment with ability to travel a substantial portion of the time as dictated by business needs.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and possess strong organizational skills.
