About the Role

BCG X is a collective of technology and digital experts within Boston Consulting Group, responsible for building businesses and products using technology and data. We combine strategic consulting knowledge with advanced expertise in areas like AI, software engineering, product development, and UX design to support client transformation from conception to implementation and scaling.

Responsibilities

Contribute to value creation by proposing and building solutions that leverage digital technologies, particularly generative AI and cloud, understanding client business challenges.
Select appropriate technology stacks for projects based on scope, client environment, and constraints, leading the development process for web/mobile apps, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
Lead the implementation of DevOps/MLOps and QA to ensure development efficiency and quality.
Collaborate agilely with cross-functional teams (PMs, data scientists, designers, consultants, etc.), bridging a wide range of perspectives including UX, data models, and business models with technical viewpoints.
Form and lead development teams, including external contractors, using agile methodologies to achieve rapid hypothesis testing and business impact creation within limited timeframes.
Communicate technical approaches and their effects on business challenges clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Support the establishment of systems and models that clients can operate effectively.
Propose technology selections and best practices based on knowledge of the latest technology trends and future potential, elevating the technical capabilities of internal and external teams.

Requirements

This is a new graduate position for individuals currently enrolled in graduate school without full-time work experience. Experienced professionals should apply for the mid-career Forward Deployed AI Engineer position.
Expected completion of a Master's or Doctoral program in a related field between September 2026 and August 2027.
Bachelor's degree graduates are not eligible.
Coding skills in Python, TypeScript, etc.
Experience in software development and operations for web/mobile front-end/back-end, and cloud infrastructure construction.
Research or internship experience in a related field.
English proficiency (conversational level or higher).
